Paul G. Maziar is a writer and published author, living in Brooklyn, NY. His first book, WHAT IT IS: WHAT IT IS, consists of his experimental prose—married the with the gorgeous, deconstructed yet meticulous, typography and photo-driven design of his endlessly-talented friend Matt Maust. The book was released through Write Bloody, the publishing company spearheaded by the acclaimed, award-winning poet Derrick C. Brown.

Maziar’s forthcoming book, The Exploding Pen, is in the works, set for release in the Winter of 2008: “Stories of one’s self-absorption and willful ignorance, and the struggle to keep the artistic mind alive.” The book is an artistic collaboration, with artist Mark Penxa.

Maziar will release a full-length vinyl album of readings from WHAT IT IS: WHAT IT IS. To be released through The Vinyl Summer, it will feature the musical accompaniment of Chase Pagan, among others, and feature exclusive download components. This too will see the light of day around December ‘08
